Hi, I’m Emily!

I am a Realtor with Compass Real Estate servicing the greater Philadelphia area. I grew up in Wayne and after returning back home from college, I found my passion—investing in and renovating old homes.

The Opportunity

After looking at many undesirable properties, Emily stumbled on the one. Its location on Irish Road was perfect, because her whole family grew up in Berwyn and graduated from Conestoga High School—on that very road!

It was a rancher on a beautiful 0.7 acre lot. Her goal, at the time, was to take it from a single story to a two-story home, but throughout the process it actually became new construction. That was a journey.

In addition, she decided to supply all the finishes for the house—tiles, plumbing fixtures, lighting, etc.—to insure that the margins would work. Not only was this a lot of work, but it was also unusual, and potentially difficult to find a builder that would be willing to work this way.
