The Opportunity
First was the decision to stay in the house instead of downsize, like a lot of their friends. But if they were going to stay, it’s time to renovate the kitchen. It was 40 years old, and they’d been contemplating renovating for the last 15 years. It was time!

The Challenge
Because of the age of the kitchen, everything was in question — the boring white tile floors, the old dark cabinets, the countertops, the shape and flow of the space. All of it. It was so outdated and just didn’t feel inviting and their own.

The Solution
A complete renovation — a total gut and rebuild. Redesign of the flow, removal of a wall to allow more light, all new materials, floors, cabinets, countertops, backsplash, lighting, appliances, even a new pantry. The project ended up extending into a new laundry room and powder room to tie the entire area together with the new look and feel!

The Decision
After reaching out to their designer’s build firm, along with other contractors, no one seemed to be responding with the level of interest that Linda and Diego felt confident about using them. Then they remembered that their daughter’s custom home was built by Beechdale Builders and thought, let’s give them a try. We know they do quality work. And after speaking with Sam King, we’re confident it was the right choice!

The Result
Having been through the building process before, they knew to expect delays. The surprise was how they were handled in such professional manner. They were very impressed by the creativity in finding solutions to challenges that inevitably presented themselves.
